Check For Other Judge
Photowalk Fragment / 2 Jul, 2026, San Roque
Should every step out of the door end up in photographic evidence that satisfies the author? Can the result be measured only in shots taken? It is a closed loop in photography where a lot of days pass by without strong shots.
The emotional aftertaste of an average photo day overtakes the process and the ideas that happened during those walks, erasing them with frustration. A "dry" photographic day hides things that actually happened off-camera but occurred precisely because of "bad" attempts. What happened in the viewfinder could have been a fourth priority, but it is the first destination we refer to when judging the result.
I promise myself to write down more notes during those occasions in order not to lose valuable mini-revelations. Extending the perspective beneath the camera viewfinder brings the author closer to a different depth of shots. Even though exploration in this state is unpleasant by nature, it mutates into some new, rewarding form. The frames will come along, but these bursts of puzzles coming together are rare. Compare the notes taken to the frames after the walk. What came out as more valuable?
